Esquel is a university town in the foothills of the Andes in Patagonia, Argentina, established by Welsh settlers and still home to Welsh language connections. Aberystwyth and Esquel have been twinned since 2009, linking Ceredigion with Patagonia through shared Welsh heritage, education, culture and international friendship.
