Saint-Brieuc, known in Breton as Sant-Brieg, is Aberystwyth’s Breton twin town. The relationship began in 1973 and reflects shared Celtic, coastal and cultural connections, including language, education, rivers and harbour life. Recent council activity has focused on renewing grassroots exchanges between clubs, young people and community groups.
